We have the pleasure to inform you that the 55th Convention of the Institution of the Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) is going to be held during 1-5 May, 2014 in the Dhaka centre of the Institution of the Engineers, Bangladesh. About 5000 Engineers from home and abroad are expected to participate in the convention program. Leading Engineers, Technologists, and Professors will also join in the convention and take part in the Memorial Lectures, National Seminar and Technical Discussion Sessions.
Sheikh Hasina, the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh has kindly consented to inaugurate this grand engineering convention on 3 May, 2014.
With this motto of Build Better World the main theme of this Convention has fixed as Engineers for Development: Towards a Safer Environment. Keeping this in view, the topic of the national seminar has been fixed as Engineers Role in Ensuring Safety.
On this occasion, we are delighted to invite you and your organization to present a paper on above topic in the National Seminar of the Convention.
